By accessing or using roomsHatch ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

roomsHatch is an online platform that connects people looking for rooms to rent or book with hosts who list their available spaces. We act as an intermediary and are not a party to any rental or booking agreements between users.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

4. Host Responsibilities

Hosts are solely responsible for ensuring their listings are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Hosts must have the legal right to list the property and must maintain it in the condition described.

5. Seeker Responsibilities

Room seekers must use the platform in good faith and honour all booking commitments. Seekers must comply with the house rules set out by each host and treat all properties with respect.

6. Payments and Fees

All payments are processed through our secure payment partners (Stripe or PayPal). roomsHatch charges a service fee on bookings. Hosts receive payouts minus the applicable platform fee after booking completion. All fees are disclosed at the time of booking.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies are set by individual hosts and are displayed on each listing page before booking. Refunds are processed according to the applicable cancellation policy. roomsHatch's service fee may be non-refundable in certain circumstances.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Platform to: (a) post false or misleading information; (b) engage in fraudulent or illegal activities; (c) harass or harm other users; (d) circumvent the platform's payment system; or (e) violate any applicable laws or regulations.

9. Limitation of Liability

roomsHatch is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from interactions with other users. We provide the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes by email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
