The complete host checklist: From first listing to first booking

Ready to start hosting? Use this checklist to make sure you've covered everything before your first booking goes live:

Account Setup

• Complete your profile (photo, bio, phone number)
• Verify your email address
• Enable two-factor authentication
• Connect your Stripe payout account

Subscription

• Choose the right subscription plan for your number of listings
• Set up billing (monthly or yearly)

Your Listing

• Write a compelling title (under 60 characters)
• Write a detailed description covering the space, neighbourhood, and transport links
• Upload 8+ high-quality photos (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, exterior)
• Set all applicable amenities
• Set house rules clearly (pets, smoking, parties, check-in/out times)
• Set your pricing (nightly rate, cleaning fee, weekly/monthly discounts)
• Configure availability and minimum/maximum stay

Before Going Live

• Preview your listing as a seeker
• Submit for review and wait for approval (24-48 hours)

Once Approved

• Share your listing link on social media
• Respond to any messages within 24 hours (this affects your response rate)
